  1. Announcements
  • Zaven Kazazian reminded the club about the Glendale Firefighter's Luncheon on October 17.
    • Starts at 11:30
    • Sign up today!
  • Anita Wallace announced that the booth fee for artists at the Glendale Festival of Arts has been reduced to $125
    • Glendale Festival of Arts is November 18
  • Alex Parajon urged members to get involved with a hands on remodeling project at Glenoaks Elementary
    • Need volunteers for October 21, 22, and 28.
    • Contact Alex Parajon to sign up.
    • Shifts go from 8am to 2pm
    • Buy your Rotary work shirt
  • Cody Smith asked for club members to volunteer to pick up coats for kids from various schools next Friday.
    • Distribution of coats will be on November 4
  • Scott Pafford presented Cozette Vergari, Peggy Smith, Nina Crowe, and Tom Propst with Sitka, Alaska Duck Race Rotary Pins.
  • Nina Crowe urged members to buy ducks for Kiwanis's duck buddies event
  1. Sharon Townsend oversaw the fines and acknowledgements
     
  2. Nina Crowe introduced Cozette Vergari, Rotary District 5280's District Governor
  • The District Governor issued the following citations of distinction
    • Beneficial to All Concerned Award - Phil Kubel
    • Good Will & Better Friendships Award - Nancy Young
    • Is it Fair to All Concerned Award - Angelo Cirrincione
    • Is it the Truth Award - Ray Rangwala
  • The Governor urged members to donate to the various recent disasters online through the District's Website
  • The Governor mentioned the following achievements regarding Rotary
    • 1.2 Million members worldwide
    • Rotarian support of "Rob's Run to End Polio."
    • District Humanitarian Trip is to Columbia
